We are lucky to live in a part of the world where food is plentiful. This makes it easy to eat more than we should eat. Hypnotherapy for overeating can help change that for you.
Habitual overeating may not be affecting your life too much at the moment. However, over time, this will lead to weight gain and other health problems associated with that.
It can be as simple as eating portions that are too big, when you don’t need to. You get passed that “I feel full” feeling, but you keep going. Most of us will do this occasionally, especially with food that we love.
Often that results in an uncomfortable feeling afterwards as your body attempts to digest all this food. Some people call it a “bloated” feeling. Whatever it is for you, it will feel uncomfortable and you may start regretting eating as much as you did.

Unlike some of the other eating disorders that are more emotionally based, habitual overeating can be pure habit. It can also come from a belief such as “I always finish what’s on my plate” that was learned from childhood.
How I help someone using Hypnotherapy for Overeating
I would start by treating this in the same way as any habit. It’s simply something you’ve been doing that has become automatic and you now want to stop doing it.
I normally do this by finding out what you don’t want. This is the easy part! I will then help you find out what you want instead. I will then give you individualised, tailored positive suggestions and ideas in hypnosis. Your unconscious mind will pick up on these and this will help you be more on control of your food intake and start making different choices.
In hypnosis, I will help you to remember that uncomfortable bloated feeling BEFORE you eat too much. That will make you naturally eat the right amount of food. You will then start to naturally associate the discomfort feeling with eating too much.
